I keep hearing these words. Awake! Arise!
How would your life change if your mind awoke and your heart arose? Before you rush through to read more. Stop and ponder.
How could your mind be more awake and your heart more alert?
What would you notice first?
Destiny awaits you! It is time! It is NOW time! The door of opportunity stands before you!
Come on up over the spirit of poverty and greed. Come up over complacency and apathy.
Come into the place of your flourishing.
You ask how do I do that?
It’s called shift.
Nothing happens in the Kingdom of Light without first a declaration.
Where does a declaration begin?
With mind shift. With heart shift. The mind and heart need to make some movement! Take some steps! Get some action!
What if you spoke this declarative prayer throughout your day for the next 30 days?
Mind! Awaken to possibility!
Do you ever feel like your mind is cast in stone? Maybe it looks like this picture. You are thinking the same thing you thought a decade ago–or a millennial ago.
Begin speaking to your mind to open up to possibility, to awaken to opportunity.
What if you addressed your heart and spoke to it to arise and gaze through the window of opportunity? Maybe even give that window a tilt like my friends here. These are two of the biggest possibility dreamers I know! They are continuously stretching their hearts to arise!
Heart! Arise in expectancy!
What if you addressed your soul–that part of you that rides the rapids of highs and lows and declare that your soul rests?
Soul! Rest in tranquility!
What would hammock time produce in you? Give it a chance! Pause and meditate. Practice Psalm 131, “I have stilled and quieted my soul like a weaned child.”
What if you addressed your strength–that driving force that paddles its way to the front of the barrel to surf the waves of pride?
Strength! Be anchored in humility!
Let’s put that together.
Mind! Awaken to possibility! Heart! Arise in expectancy!
Soul! Rest in tranquility. Strength! Be anchored in humility!
Now why would you make this declaration?
Your destiny is at stake!
Let’s add the last part– “until I come into the full expression of my God-breathed identity and step into my Christ-formed destiny.”
Try making these demands on the four dimensions of your being that God commands are to love the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourself. For thirty days make these simple declarations over yourself, your spouse, your child, your friend and your neighbor.
Go ahead. Write them out on a few 3 x 5 cards. Post them where you’ll see it often. Speak them!
I believe this is one of the most powerful prayer you can declare over yourself and others. Hint: it is a paraphrase of Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians from chapter 1:15-23.
Observe the shifts. I can assure you that you will awaken and arise and discover new opportunities right at your door!
