Here’s a Quick Way to Flourish

Dr. Caroline Leaf, in her book, Who Switched Off My Brain, writes that there are only two types of emotions—love and fear! Every emotion is either one or the other. Guess which one messes with the chemistry in your brain flushing your body with toxins?

Dr. Orv Owens, in his book, The Psychology of Relationship Selling, says that 95% of the population is fear motivated while only 5% is love motivated. Guess which motivation thwarts your influence making you toxic in the marketplace?

Dr. Alejandro Junger, in his book, Clean, writes that “90% of the time, people complain about everything and everyone.” Guess what makes you and everyone around you toxic?

Do you see an emerging pattern?

If flourishing means being fresh, green and productive over sustained periods of time, then it would appear from the good doctors that we most need to

1. Pursue love motivation as our #1 priority.

2. Establish new patterns of conversation that weed complaining from our vocabulary.

Unless of course, we really do want to continue the “cycle of quantum toxicity.” (I just had to include Dr. Junger’s quote—it so utterly describes old repulsive patterns.)

Assignment:  Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle from top to bottom.

Label one side Love and the other side Fear. Now log every emotion that you can think of on either one side or the other. You will find your list a great road map in navigating your flourishing life.
