My new friend, Marjorie Roth, has found our online community at womensleadershipadvantage.com. She’s also been following this blog and our group’s activities from afar! In response to my post of 4/11/11 on “How to Receive a Miracle,” Marjorie mailed me a set of greeting cards which I opened last night. When I saw the images I was reminded of the photo I had posted with the article on miracles which I have inserted here.
The cards Marjorie sent were a variation on this theme painted by Madeleine Fernandez. You can see them at www.oilnwine.image kind.com/. They are titled “Pour out Your Spirit.” This morning before our Monday Morning Prayer Girls met, I tucked the cards away.
Before we went to prayer, I shared just a few points from Bill Johnson’s book Dreaming with God. I had written them out very simply so I could really grasp their significance.
1. All belongs to the Father
2. The Father gives everything to the Son
3. The Son gives everything to us through the Holy Spirit.
Then I quoted Bill. “One of the Holy Spirit’s primary functions is to discover what lies in the depths of God’s heart for us.”
As we began to quiet ourselves before the Lord, one of the women began to pray that we would open our arms wide to receive heaven’s download. She prayed out heaven’s bounty on the behalf of each one.
Then I remembered the cards from Marjorie. Each woman must be given a card to remind her of this morning and God’s promise for her flourishing life.
As I reflect on this whole process, I realize there are no accidents in God’s timing and provision. It is not by chance that I connected with Marjorie through a mutual friend on Facebook probably a year ago, maybe about the time she purchased the cards. It is no accident that I attended the service at Sonrise Chapel where I saw an image in my mind of giant glory drops. It is no accident that Anita painted the same picture on canvas at the front of the sanctuary that I had seen in my mind in the back of the auditorium. It is no accident I blogged about that event, Marjorie read it, sent the cards all the way from the east coast to the west coast and I had them to distribute this very day as a reminder that Holy Spirit is distributing Jesus’ inheritance into our account.
People, God really is interested in Your Flourishing Life. He made appropriations for it through Jesus Christ and he is transferring it into your account through the Holy Spirit. It’s time to get out of his way and open up your arms to receive what He so desires to give!
Can you picture him transferring his wealth into your arms? Remember, it’s your inheritance? How might that deposit look? Like Anita’s painting maybe? Like Madeleine’s painting?
Why is that important? Because God desires for you to fulfill his commission for your life! And it is a beautiful thing to behold! There’s no flourishing like flourishing fully in the destiny for which you were intentionally designed!
Thank you, Marjorie, for following your inner guide to send the cards. You blessed me so I could bless others who have blessed you! And the cycle of blessing continues. Claim your inheritance!

There are no accidents…. love this post
Thanks Laurie! Love those God moments–how does He do that? He’s God!
love this phrase – Can you picture him transferring his wealth into your arms?
Then, can I picture Him pouring His wealth out of me to be a blessing here, there & everywhere?
Still learning how to transfer my blog to wordpress – am more excited today than yesterday!
Hi Marjorie,
I’ve been meditating on that process. It seems he transfers wealth as we take what is in our hands and participate in the miracle.
“What do you have in your house?” Elisha asked the widow in II Kings 4:2.
“How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked the disciples in Mark 8.
My husband always invited our daughters to be part of their own miracle. When our older daughter bought her well-used Jeep Grand Wagoneer, which was always breaking down, he invited her to purchase the repair manual and then get it out and troubleshoot the problem! Together they would stick their heads under that hood! She was always invested in the miracle when the thing went down the road again! Thank God, she traded that vehicle in this month!
I believe the Lord invites us to be involved in our own miracle by asking us to take assessment of what we have in our hands. What strengths, gifts, talents, assets do we possess, maybe not in huge amounts, but in even some small amount that we can use as starter fluid for our miracle?
That is how this blog came about. I realized I had some ability in stringing words together. What would happen if I did this on a regular basis and gave it to the world? I am finding it is quite the ride and has exceeded my expectations! I, too, am discovering the power of multiplication! Looking forward to reading your blog, Marjorie!
