Okay–so I am right in the middle of sharing about good food for beautiful skin to maintain your flourishing health. Stop! I have to interrupt to share about my vision board and the new landscaping beyond my window.
Since I fell down last year in front of 150 people and picked myself up to meet Roxie Tanous, I have been facilitating treasure mapping sessions. Roxie taught me the value of always having a vision board in front of you.
In her seventies, Roxie looks about 50 and has a spring in her step and a dream in her heart! Roxie has lived with treasure maps for 25 years; she has also lived the life of her dreams. The day I fell down, she smoothed my frazzled nerves and spoke peace into my life. She also showed me the picture of her dream home, a graceful two-story brick home romantically set in South Carolina. Did I mention she purchased it with cash? WOW! I was all ears when she told me it had been on her dream board!
So last year I made a treasure map, aka dream board. In the bottom right hand corner I put a lovely little bistro set under a red maple. I didn’t know why I was attracted to the picture, but I found it inviting so onto the board it went.
Spring forward a year. I’m sitting at my desk watching the landscapers create a beautiful new patio and walkway up to our house. Suddenly, I realized this patio is the perfect spot for the little bistro set right under the vine maple that turns red every fall!
I hadn’t planned to recreate the scene on my dream board.
I hadn’t struggled to make it happen.
I hadn’t even thought about the fact that there was a little bistro set under a red maple on my dream board when we drew up the plans for the new landscaping.
It happened without a struggle. Can you explain this? Neither can I.
All I know is that Roxie said what you put on your dream board will show up–and often better than you imagined as is the case with our new landscaping. You can’t see the little maple in the picture above, but it is to the right of my friends.
I do know that something about putting your dreams visually on a piece of paper–even when you don’t know why–is part of the miracle of seeing them show up right outside your window.

Thank you for this great encouragement & inspiration.
Marjie~ This is such a mystery to me. I seriously never put the two together until I sat looking at my dream board. It wasn’t like I “tried to make it happen.” Yes, we had plans for our new design–but never ever set a “goal” to duplicate what was on the board.
