“Please say a command,” announces the female voice from the sound system in my husband’s Ford F-150. Clark speaks and downloaded music selections begin playing from my iPhone.
Nothing happens without a command. Period.
Have you considered how this might relate to your life? What are you commanding? A little harsh you think? Soften it with “what are you declaring?”
Pastor Bill Johnson of Redding, CA is famous for saying, “Nothing happens in the kingdom without a declaration.”
Let’s authenticate this biblically. Open to Genesis 1 and begin reading. You’ll find the first verse describing a world that is ambiguous, colorless, flavorless, and soundless. It’s what you might call organic, but organic what? God created and the Holy Spirit hovered over some dark and roiling mass.
Nothing is distinguishable. Then God thunders, “Light be!” Suddenly, the world jolts awake beneath the blinding light. It’s as if the creator is now the director on a science fiction movie set commanding, “Lights, camera, action!”
Now you have it—voice recognition technology. The creation obeys the voice of the creator and light dawns over an amniotic earth. The creator speaks, action rolls.
Nothing happens without a command. Period.
Now look at your life. You live in a voice-activated universe; you are made in the imago Dei; you are equipped with a voice. What are you calling forth?
Will you declare light?
