Elevator Speech. “Hello, My name is Moses. I led the Children of Israel out of slavery in Egypt. My people call me Israel’s First Prophet and Lawgiver. I am the author of five books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The biographers of Jesus, Matthew, Mark and Luke, wrote about my appearance with him at the Transfiguration. It is my highest honor to be mentioned in the great chapter on faith, Hebrews 11. A good lead for me is to have God’s glory pass before me one more time so I can be immersed in his goodness.”
God. The Back Story. “If this is what I did with Moses, who was born a slave, raised a prince, and became a fugitive for forty years in the desert after murdering a man, what might I do with a sold out, totally committed, blood washed, Spirit filled, seated in heavenly places, follower of Jesus Christ?”

Elevator Speech. “Hello, My name is Rahab. I am one of only a handful of women mentioned in the direct line to Jesus. In fact, I’m King David’s Great Grandmother. You can find my name right there in the genealogy with all the notables like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in Matthew 1. I count it my privilege to be mentioned in Hebrews 11 along with such notables as Enoch, Noah, Gideon, Samuel, and, of course, my boy David. A good lead for me is a new destiny assignment that will demonstrate my faith in Yahweh. “
God. The Back Story. If this is what I did with Rahab, a prostitute from Jericho who lived on the edge of a heathen society, what might I do with a sold out, totally committed, blood washed, Spirit filled, seated in heavenly places, follower of Jesus Christ?

Elevator Speech. Hello, My name is David. I am known as the sweet psalmist of Israel. The Prophet Samuel anointed me king. Women wrote songs about the tens of thousands of Philistines that I killed in battle. Israel rose to her greatest heights under my reign. I trained my son Solomon to govern after me and he, of course, built Solomon’s Temple. You can read all about me in I and II Samuel. Don’t miss my poetry in Psalms. Our Messiah is called The Son of David. Along with my Great Grandmother Rahab, I’m mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1. My highest honor is to be called “a man after God’s own heart. A good lead for me is a brand new sunrise that will inspire me with new lyrics for another top single that raises the roof in worship to my LORD.”
God. The Back Story. If this is what I did with David, who was the crazy musician kid brother so low in rank as a keeper of a few sheep that his dad didn’t even bother to call him for the anointing service, what might I do with a sold out, totally committed, blood washed, Spirit filled, seated in heavenly places, follower of Jesus Christ?

Elevator Speech. Hello, My name is Cyrus the Great. I am remembered as “his anointed” in Isaiah 45. I did not know the name of the God who took my right hand. Yet through his guidance and equipping, I established the Persian Empire that flourished for 200 years. I captured Babylon and let the Jews return to their homeland. Check it out in Ezra 1. I am known in history as the leader who established a central administration where the people profited. A good lead for me is another day where the One whose name I did not acknowledge strengthens me with the the grip of his strong right hand to liberate another group of people.”
God. The Back Story. If this is what I did with Cyrus, a heathen king who was not even part of my covenant people, what might I do with a sold out, totally committed, blood washed, Spirit filled, seated in heavenly places, follower of Jesus Christ?
