Dancing into the Glory

When you have a history as an academic librarian, you tend to live with books scattered throughout your space. Last night as I was de-booking a corner, I found an old diary (as the Brits say). Paging through the year 2004, I found some notes, actually gemstones, on how our brains work. Unfortunately, I did not save the speaker’s name, only that she was the “Creative Dance Lady” who spoke about the Brain Dance with emphasis on pre-schoolers.

  • Our brains are driven by our emotions.
  • IQ is influenced by experiences.
  • The brain can be reorganized at any time.
  • Learning is influenced by emotion.
  • The more little children see, say and do the more they can remember.
  • If babies don’t creep, they may have trouble tracking with the eyes across a page in reading.

Why am I sharing this right in the middle of writing about glory?

I have encouraged you to speak to your mind to awaken to revelation of the Father of Glory, the supereminent beauty. Remember beauty elicits the emotions of love, joy, peace, at the least! Who doesn’t want more of these delectable fruits in their life?

So you desire to receive, right?

Let’s get into the mechanics. I believe there is more to this Possibility Prayer than simply speaking it.

I would encourage you to break into song with “Glory, glory, glory!” Pick a lyric you know or just sing tones and add the word glory. Become immersed in that word. Picture your mind as a Keurig. You place the little pod of “possibility” in the upper chamber; you press the operation button by singing glory. Your cup is open and available. It is receptive. Glory begins to flow into the receptacle of your mind. Receive it! Drink deeply from it!

But don’t stop there. If the Creative Dance Lady knows what she is talking about, and as I recall she had all the credentials, there is more to having a mind receptive to possibility.

She said to move. Movement enhances learning.

Dance! Why not dance?

Dance for the glory!

dance for the glory

Close your drapes, shut your door, and dance to the glory! I know, most churches do not allow dancing, but nobody can stop you from dancing at home! Dance for the glory!

And then maybe again you will find a place that will celebrate the Glory in the dance. Join in!

dance for the glory 2Re-organize your brain to possibility!

Be willing to look silly for the glory!

I know, it sounds crazy, but I didn’t say it, the Brain Dance lady said it. She said our brains are driven by our emotions. Be willing to get emotional for the glory! It’s glory is far beyond pigskin!

Wouldn’t you like to have a brain/mind that is open to extravagant possibility?

Haven’t you been living under the fog of impossibility for way too long?

Sing for the glory! Dance for the glory and as you do declare:

Mind! Awaken to Possibility!

Awaken to receive revelation of the Father of Glory!

  1. I have always been a person who is pro-dancing! Although I don’t do that in public, it is a very special part of my private life with myself and family. And crawling IS important to a child’s development in reading…it is all about celebration of our daily life and grasping each moment we are given. You might really enjoy Caroline Leaf if you haven’t read any of her work it is totally fascinating!
