High in all kinds of wonderful nutrients like calcium, fiber, manganese, magnesium, potassium, Vitamins A, C and B6.

A workhorse, that never sleeps, Vitamin B6 is a tremendous immune booster keeping your body functioning at optimum levels. One-third of Americans are deficient in this important nutrient that benefits your red blood cells, hair, skin, nervous system, and brain. It also regulates sleep, appetite and mood.

Most women over forty have difficulty with digestion. B6 is necessary for the production of hydrochloric acid which is essential for good digestion. Your body does not store B6 so you need to include it in your diet or vitamin supplementation daily. For a great supplement that is really four amazing products in one check out Noevir’s BioEssentials. You will find more about it in the previous blog.

  1. You are so right about B-6, Marlee. My husband’s cancer Dr. prescribed chemo treatments (1,700 per treatment, poisons the body with a 30% effective rate of staving off new cancers), which he must do per the insurance…. and then he told us of a huge
study that showed a 46% success rate with a 4x daily regiment of vitamins A,B-6, C & E….so far, so good.

    • Hi Cindy,

Thanks for the affirmation. I think we forget how important all these nutrients are to our body. We supply food because we’re hungry, but forget that the foods we select are conduits for phyto nutrients, vitamins, minerals and probiotics to enter our systems and do great things for us. Glad Scott is winning the war against this cancer!

  2. This sounds delicious. Like a pumpkin milkshake that’s good for you. Did you create this or find the recipe? Thank you for sharing this recipe and the nutrition information. Keep up the good work. I lift a glass to you and to flourishing health.

    • Hi Debby,

It is a fun recipe. I started with a recipe from one of my books and then began adapting with what was in the frig. The original did not have bok choy or almond milk. With these recipes you start with a liquid, add in some greens, toss in some fruits, add appropriate spices and see how how it works. The first time we made it, I think we put in some raw oatmeal for some filler because we needed the calories to make it through the long day ahead. And a glass of green to you and your flourishing health, too!
